Panattoni acquired a unique 10 acre site in Brampton, Ontario for a “spec” industrial development. With frontage on two streets, the site provided Panattoni with the option of building two independent buildings, each with their own street frontage, or one continuous building with road access at each end of the building. A knowledge of the local market, supported by extensive market research, resulted in a decision to build two buildings of sizes that would appeal to both tenants and owner users. The smaller building of 126,000 sq.ft. was sold to an industrial company and the larger building of 154,000 sq. ft. was leased in its entirety to three tenants during the construction phase.
