To gain entry into the Montreal marketplace, Panattoni formed a joint venture with a well respected and active local area developer. The partners acquired an “infill” property in Montreal near the international airport. The property consisted of an existing building of 95,000 sq. ft. and an undeveloped land area of 39 acres. The existing building was renovated and expanded and a road was extended through the land to create building lots for build-to-suit and speculative construction. The project now consists of three buildings and is occupied by international companies, including Billabong, Brighton-Best, and Wolverine, together with several Montreal based enterprises.
